Hashnode is really good enough and one of the best designed websites I know, but what would the developers use after the experience they have with the current stack? would they use anything other than Javascript/Node.js for the backend, something new like Go or Elixir or stable frameworks like Django/Python? Would they stick to React?

Hey eron, Thanks for the nice words.
If I were to write Hashnode from scratch again, I would still choose Node/Express combo. I really like node ecosystem and am well versed with it. So, I wouldn't change that.
Coming to the view part, React is still my #1 choice. It's easy to use, APIs are pretty straightforward and I haven't found anything that I can't achieve with React. So, there is no reason to switch.
While I am very enthusiastic about newer languages like Swift, Go etc I will still prefer MERN stack if I need to write a production app in near future.
Hope this answers your question! :)
