Is there a simple front-end boilerplate project with good explanation for the stack in description? Please suggest.

Here is the stack :

Isomorphic app
React
Redux
Immutablejs
Express
Node.js
redux-saga/redux-thunk/promise-middleware
Hot-reloading etc.

Most of the ones I found were either too complex/ too old and not maintained.

Have you checked out MERN?

Yes I have. In fact, that is what got me to hashnode. But I found it too complex to understand. I first need to figure out exactly how do all the parts work in an isomorphic app especially using this stack ( this is the first time I am trying to create an isomorphic app). Then may be I can use MERN for kickstarting my projects with confidence.

This is not isomorphic/server side rendered. That is my primary requirement right now. Was able to setup my own boilerplate , but without isomorphic behaviour.
