If you are talking about Google, a better and cleaner version of Material Design would be better. The current material design guidelines, I think, aren't completely fit for web.
I am liking what Microsoft is doing with the Fluent Design System. They are back with transparency and glass like design. This time it looks way better than their previous attempt (Ahem... Windows Vista disaster).
On a personal note, I would make Glitch's design language the web standard if I was made the king of Internet for a day! ;)
