What does lat & lng mean?

longitude and latitude -> positions on a sphere grid used for kartesian transformations to represent positions on a map.
I assumed that that's what it meant but was unsure because the tags included DB's so it threw me haha.

lat & lang, stand for latitude, and longitude; respectively.
