I was recently told that Node.js and React based apps won't scale past 10-20 million users.
I don't agree with this statement given the amount of efforts developers are putting into Node ecosystem these days.

In the early days of Node, there were countless blog posts from big internet-scale companies (e.g. LinkedIn) that moved from Rails to Node and were able to reduce their server footprint by orders of magnitude as a result.
React has nothing to do with scaling in terms of number of users.
