I don't know if any games have led to me being better about programming, other than thinking about how I'd program them, but I do feel like puzzles and brain training games are a good way to prime the brain for programming you know?
Think or it like a sponge to wipe away the thoughts polluting your brain's chalk board so to speak. Like if something is bother me or I feel stressed out, it's hard to focus on programming, but games like the Nintendo Brain Age training games, or Minecraft, Tetris, or even the Professor Layton games are have a knack for making me forget about everything else and focus. Granted, I need to remember to stop playing at some point, so a timer helps. Sometimes it even gives me ideas while I'm playing.
