Many things in a project could be crazy. You might find the business model absurd, the technology you're working on being wacko or in general product development going bonkers
Basically any personal project. lol
I use them all to test and increase my own skill set, and I take a very odd approach (much like the CEO of Netflix.) If it hasn't been done yet, and it's not "trendy" enough. possibly resulting in a loss since there's no proof that it will fail or succeed... I take it as a personal challenge to make it work.
My three "babies" right now are:
I worked on a dating app once
I laughed for 10 minutes when our product manager explained its business logic to me. Target audience of that app was orthodox Christians. You can only have heterogeneous relationship with it. Also it only allows one connection at a time.
Now the cool part is that there is an admin who precedes over everything in this app. Each time a couple gets connected, this admin watches it. This was the funniest thing for me. Think about another person looking in to what you’re doing in a dating app
The couple is given a set of prayers. After the prayers, parties involved are supposed to write down their dreams. Admin will read all these. Now at the end, if you feel you’re compatible with your partner and decide to take it to the next level, admin should approve of this relationship based on everything admin has seen.
I was awestruck to learn that such a business could exist and there will be people who’ll pay 100$ for signing up on it

Well I am currently working on it! It is the Hashnode Mobile App. 😛
It's crazy awesome though. Things keep breaking / getting resolved with every update of React Native or Expo or the packages which we are using. But I guess that's what makes the experience even more fun. A couple of months into something challenging you realize just how much you have learned and how far you have come. 😬
Being part of the React Native community when the current version is 0.51 is a big thing for me. I love my job. 😅
