Well, I guess the notable elements of the future in FE development would be:
bots doing simplistic UIs, I bet that would include WYSIWYG-like code (read cluttered and unmaintainable code)
clients/bosses (you name it) expecting FE (and even BE) devs to do what full stack DevOps engineers do, i.e: UI/UX, FE and BE code, testing, ops (deployment, hosting, CI/CD, ...); + ICT stuff
more frameworks, libraries, packages, tools, etc
more stuff concerning JS being yet another flavour, standard
IE will still be around
the amount of skill that goes in those writing posts on WordPess/1&1/Wix/... websites that they got from them would be regarded as equivalent to FE dev.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong on that although the presence of ancient Trident engines in email clients and the fact that I still see people in several places using IE is nowhere weak enough.
