I wish I could just say that I'm a Web Developer placement student but alas this would be following the lie that my contract is and not accurate of my day-to-day job which is summed up as:

Website and Software Project Manager
GDPR Manager (there's probably a better title for that tho)
IT Support
Front End Developer

Other than that, I'm a FOSS contributor working on a variety of projects.

What's great about my job?

Hum, let me guess:

I can work at the company whenever I want as they have a place for me
I work in a really familiar environment
I get exposed to different things
I get to experience what it's like being a PM and someone in charge of the GDPR compliance
It's a decent break from university

Why do I like it?

Pass :s.

As for the other questions, I think I answered them.

While it's a good experience, don't let them push everything on you. If it's too much, and you feel like you are not paid enough for the work you do (which you most likely are not with a student's contract), decline more work and let your manager sort it out. It's one of your manager's jobs to balance the work distribution, after all 😉

Yeah, I'm not denying it's a good a marking experience but I would do something more relevant to what I came here for and what I want to do career-wise. Well, I'm not underpaid but at the bottom of the average payments for my job and fairly less than what I was initially promised.

But yeah, I'll make sure I say no more often (although that leads to a boring day with nothing to do) or just redirect people to my manager.

But in any case, I know what I want and what they would have to fulfil in order to keep me (considering that they plan getting me a position after I graduate) which so far might be nearly unrealistic.
