I would define the language specs it's always important with which version/superset you've worked
JS -> ES3, ES5, ES6, TS .... it's still inaccurate but at least it allows them to assume you have seen certain syntax.
Which is "correct" is not debatable, since the name of the language is defined and trademarked as JavaScript. The only question is whether you feel fussy enough about it to care ;)
