@kthomas88 It depends if the product is going to be consumer based or company based as to whether support is required. Is there the need for it. If not, don't stress about it.
I'd also look at more than just w3 for statistics - it quite difficult to get a definitive answer as to the browser usage. For example, some do it by number of downloads, well I have quite a few installed for testing purposes (chrome + canary, firefox + night, IE, Edge, opera). But I don't use them all the time.
