I recently got hired by Samsung as a software engineer, but the thing is I really love working for start-ups. Start-ups happen to have a very dense work culture, quite happening and live work-flow, plus there is the chance to work and experiment with new technologies. I know how slow companies like Samsung can be as far as software innovation is concerned, plus there is this massive chain of commands. I wish to work on live projects run by other start-ups as a consultant or a part-time developer intern, but the problem is conglomerates make you sign a so-called agreement which prevents us from earning money from any third party source. I don't really know what to do here but I sure don't wish to die of bordom working on stale projects and fixing shitty bugs.
