The insurance thing is kind of US-specific, I don't think most countries have that problem, at least the Netherlands don't.

The biggest problem with moving to a new city is that one's partner also needs to change jobs and find one at the same time. But unless you're in the same field, there's probably little a company can do to help with that...

yes, there is a reason why older big companies sometimes still insist that you're either single or your partner is not allowed to work besides charity.

Usually our loyality is stronger with our partners than with our employer.

The insurance thing is very popular over here (Serbia) and it extends to the rest of the family. We all have regular health insurance, but you also gain access to numerous private clinics.

Yeah, the moving with your partner and kids is a great challenge. Some companies over here try to move couples to Serbia by paying tuition for their kids, providing them with housing, etc.
