The DeFi applications are really interesting to me because they are some of the largest and well known dapps in existence, but I really love seeing teams like Audius and LivePeer building on The Graph because they are some of the most innovative web3 projects out there.
I think the two most transferrable "web2" skills are front end development and devops. If you can do either of those moderately well, you will not have a problem being hired in web3.
