Create a FREE Windows Desktop on Oracle Cloud

Matt Mulvaney To complete, it seems that have the same issue for Marseille Home Region:

No shapes are available for this image. Check your tenancy service limits or capacity to ensure required resources are available. Alternatively, select a new image or availability domain to see if shapes are available for that image.

I just created a Frankfurt based Oracle account and I have the same error message (No shapes are available for this image....) for cloud.oracle.com/marketplace/application/76105157 for:

• Windows-Server-2022-Standard-Edition-VM-2023.09.28-0-QVWS-536.25 (11/8/2023) - default
• Windows-Server-2019-Standard-Edition-VM-Gen2-2023.06.13-0-QVWS-536.25 (7/21/2023)
• Windows-Server-2019-Standard-Edition-VM-Gen2-2023.02.15-0-QVWS-527.41-2 (5/30/2023)
• 2021.11.09-0-QVWS (1/13/2022)
• 2020.04.27-0-vws 2020-05-11 (5/13/2020)

Only Windows-Server-2019-Standard-Edition-VM-Gen2-2021.11.09-0-QVWS-463.15 (2/11/2022) proposes:

• Shape: VM.Standard2.1
• OCPU count: 1
• Memory (GB): 15

Furthermore, Always Free-eligible only are assigned to:

• VM.Standard.E2.1.Micro
• VM.Standard.A1.Flex and are described as:

This shape is either not compatible with the selected image, or not available in the current availability domain.

So your method seems to involve a shape cost.

cloud.oracle.com/marketplace/application/74835434

has the issue no matter the Version selected before Launch Instance.
