Hello Ted, that is correct. The code is obsolete and dates back to the pre-v1.0 HAL. The update date was changed by an automated process that fixed some broken links. Since the publication of Simplified Embedded Rust, the book has become the central source for all updates.

This says updated July 1 2026, but it appears to be at least 2 years obsolete. esp32c3_hal is replaced with esp_hal+device feature.
