Hi Ryan,
I started in 2006 to use Rails. I share nearly the same story, I came from PHP too. I tried the Blog-tutorial and felt in love with Rails. I had a lot of questions and found your Railscasts. Now in 2023 I am still in love with Rails and you are one of the many reasons.
I thank you so much for your videos. It was exactly what I was looking for back in the days.
Many greetings and all the best from Germany, René
Ryan, your screencasts is what I refer to others as the gold standard on how to do screencasts. You are way up high in this regard. Best!
With my 4 years of experience in c# in 2011 my company ask me to study Ruby on Rails and start working on a project. I struggled for 2months with a pdf tutorial. I think there is no way as a rookie I can move forward with it and as a miracle I got Ryan along with Railscasts and from there there is no stopping and I start loving ROR and the gems. I developed the whole project myself.
Thanks again Ryan. Your guidance have been invaluable. Looking forward to see more from you. 💗
If on the one side _why was my inspirational reference to join the Rails community, you were my pragmatic go-to guy to learn by doing and getting things to production. Thanks a lot for all the effort put into Railscasts. Can't wait to read part 2!
Ryan, I want to say “thank you” for everything you did for the rails community. You are a legend! I’ve learned so much from rails casts in my early days. Hope you doing well 🙏
I have successfully found my way into Ruby on Rails mainly with your help. Thank you so much!
It is great to read about the RailsCasts - how it started and what you did to make it successful.
Truly an inspiration. I look forward to the next article.
You saved my life these days by introducing me to Ruby. Otherwise, I would end up as a PHP or Java programmer. Thank you Ryan! I found my way to becoming an Elixir enthusiast.
He's baack! Like a rockstar you were to all of us learning Rails in the early 2000's. Your Railscasts were legend and to this day, no one does them as succinctly, and concisely, as you did. Thank you! Now, how about Part 2?

Hey Ryan, you were our hero in the company in Poland, where your screencasts were running between our small team. Thanks for sharing the first part of your story!
