Some important points to consider when comparing DB support:

Since v4, Strapi does not have a good support for DB transactions. The only option (which was added very recently) is to use low-level knex-based transactions which require intimate knowledge of the db schema to write properly, which is an issue because, as you put it in your article, they follow "closed" approach that is, developers don't get to choose how their schema going to look like. So, if ACID is something you need, Strapi may not be your cup of tea.

May I ask, is there a reason you didn’t consider Contentful other than it is a SaaS and is a paid service?

Hi Shaun wallace, SaaS and other paid services are perfectly fine to me, even on their free plan. The CMSs in this article also have (or soon to have) cloud versions. For a side project, self-host is better a way to learn more skills, so it is my choice.

That said, I did go over Contentful, Prismic, Storyblok, and GraphCMS in my How To Choose The Best Headless CMS For Your Blogfolio? article and they generally lack features compared to solutions presented in this article.

Hi Aleksandar Bencun, thanks for the suggestion. KeystoneJS v6 is one of my initial choices, but it lacks some features like i18n, and singleton so I decided not to go with it (both features are on the roadmap though).

Hung Vu yeah lack of i18n is the problematic bit for me as well. The project still looks very promising to me looking at the roadmap. I'll make sure to check out that other article of yours. Quality insight, keep it up!
