Absolutely true! All we learn after 2nd grade is to 'rot' learn which is detrimental to our creativity. Just because a type of system has been in use from the industrial age doesn't mean we have to follow them. Adding creativity into the curriculum and not as a side-something would actually enable us to be creative.

Exactly! It's so evident yet so hidden to the eyes of the admin. These norms and so called rituals we follow indeed seem like a pathway towards the recession of the creative nature of us humans. We need to act fast and aware our peers about the same, that's part of the reason why I started this blog in the first place. We need more teachers who would actually explain why and how these "laws" we are so fond of were discovered and there significance. Just simply following them won't help, we need questions to be asked and answers to be provided.

Shaurya Agrawal This is why I am in favor of decentralization in education. Right now as it stands, the system is actually kind-of broken. CBSE gives circulars and schools just implement them. There is little creativity and/or freedom given to the students. I know this is not as easy as it sounds but it would do wonders

Shaurya Agrawal I think that the teachers are reluctant to try new things as they will be held accountable for them if in case something goes wrong. The system should be such that teachers aren't afraid to try new things.

Yash Raj Well the private school system is controlled one ministry aka ADEC. Whatever rules they apply must be followed by every school, meaning that schools can't do much without getting permission from them. If we want kids to be more productive, the system should allow us to be more free but with certain limitations.
