SEO title no longer renames your blog
If you ever typed a meta title into the SEO tab and then noticed your blog had a new name, that wasn't you. Both inputs saved to the same database field, so whichever you edited last won.
The two are stored separately now. Your publication name comes from General settings and shows up wherever readers see your blog. The SEO title only changes what search engines and link previews read, and we renamed the field from "meta title" so that's obvious. Leaving it empty keeps the old behavior, where search engines see your publication name.
For API users, publication queries now support seo { title description }. It returns the exact values you saved in the SEO tab, or null if you never set them.
