How are you learning Japanese?

Emil Moe I'm a self-learner. I used a very good book to easily learn the Kana. Then I started on the vocabs and the grammar. I tried different books, the first one I got for introduction was awesome, but it's only available in German... However, I found a good JLPT N5 vocab course on memrise (don't go for the Kanji though). In addition to that, I got a lifetime membership over at WaniKani to learn the Kanji. As for grammar and speaking, I signed up at the Japanese Online Institute and took quite a few lessons, though I do not have the time at the moment because of my master studies~

Next month, I'll travel to Japan and try out my skills :D

Nice.. I have a book for learning Japanese somewhere, but never really got started. I would love to learn khmer, but these script languages seem so hard.

Emil Moe uhhh, I once felt Kanji were hard to read (now I can at least make out the system and differentiate between them), but it is refreshing to get that feeling again from Khmer script, which looks like a lot of scribbling to me at the moment^^
