First and foremost let me say that I LOVE this site. It is a fantastic resource and I view it everyday. However, one thing that is terribly annoying is the infinite scroll feature on the home page.
Why?
Not the worst problem ever, but it is a very poor user experience and it has been written about numerous times:
The big dogs do pagination for a reason - it is a better and more reliable user experience. Please take this into consideration during your next dev sprint.
Thank you and keep up the good work!
This is one of the things that has been bugging me for a while too (along with inconsistent support for ⌘-click in links).
I would personally be ok with this if there was support for RSS, but I agree that infinte scroll is not a good idea in general.

Hi Jake, thanks for all the love.
We're constantly working on making your feed better, so you have the best of content that you're interested in.
As far as infinite scroll is concerned, we had a discussion on this, and decided to go this way as it made more sense in terms of usability, with as much less cognitive stress on your part, as is possible. Currently, we maintain your scroll position when you interact with an item in your feed, and come back to your feed view.
Thank you for putting your pain points here, for all the above UX references, and for running this poll. We have a feature requests page, where you can add your request.
We will definitely look into this, and will get back to you with what we come up with.
