Yes. Speed. When half a page's size is analytics and/or ads, something is very wrong. These companies need to get it together and fix the problem.

In fact, yes: for example Ghostery. The reason is not that I hate Google Analytics (that's more of a side-effect), but rather that most websites implement trackers, which track you across different domains. It is then possible to find out who you are, what you like, what you know and do and think. That's pretty scary imho, hence I do not want to be tracked.
OK, I even do not really want to be tracked by Google, haha. So for my personal (and maybe selfish) reasons I install software which blocks trackers and analytic software.
I also decided against using Windows or macOS for similar reasons and I do not trust IoT devices I did not build or inspect myself. Guess that's just how I roll...
