At JAAK we are using the Ethereum blockchain and decentralised technology to connect creators with their creations across the music, TV & film industries. We're building the META protocol and network to provide the tooling for building large scale, decentralised databases describing real world entities, where individual participants are both economically incentivised to provide useful, efficient services and are held accountable for any wrong doing.
One of our current projects is a self-sovereign identity within the META Network, called META-ID. The codebase consists of some Smart Contracts that govern how identities are registered, retrieved and verified and a JavaScript library that can be used in a web application to interact with the contracts.
We use the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) as an identity registry meaning we get useful unique identifiers in the form luke.id.meta. All metadata relating to an identity is stored in Ethereum's distributed storage platform Swarm. Identities in the network are also able to verify claims about other META-IDs using cryptographic signatures, which are also stored in Swarm.
I've not got any side projects to show at the moment but I'm trying to work on something the ecosystem is in real need of: tooling. The first tool I've released is Sulk - configuration-based Solidity contract compilation.
