That's pretty much the advice I usually give everyone else... that's the real laugh of it. "Do as I say not as I do."

Their VP of Marketing isn't much better, insisting the site match their goofy white on light-blue colour scheme when said colours are far, FAR below legibility minimums on contrasts.

I am hoping they'll understand what I'm telling them -- I'm going to walk them through it step by step in as plain and simple a language as I can. Without interference from the people who got them into trouble one thing at a time.
I want this one to go well since what's on the table right now is basically half a year of income for three to four weeks work.
But you're right, and I've said it to many people myself -- sometimes you just have to know when to walk away.
