I studied technical engineering, and I seriously considered a job in that field.

Alternatively (nontechnical) a tailor (surprise!). I love creating things, and I really like unique clothing. So I already started out with some costumes, however I might extend it to everyday stuff. I was on vacation in Japan over the past two weeks, and just seeing the way young people in Nagoya and Tokyo dress makes my heart beat faster. Especially searching through some of the small ateliers and stores in Shibuya was great fun and I got to see my share of Punk, Gothic, Lolita and Visual Kei clothing (though I did only buy a coat; too tall and need more money :D). If you plan to go there yourself, check out LaForet B1, however it is advisable to at least speak a bit of Japanese yourself ;)

Stephan de Vries well, no photos, sorry. However, the main reason why I have not ventured into the pleasure of creating everyday clothing is simply because I am still very bad at tailoring. The clothes have really bad fits and seams are anything but straight and close to the edge. I do not know a lot of techniques, which makes the costumes look quite bad. So, I also use cheap cloth~

Well, for costumes, that's ok most of the time, since a self-made one is special either way when everyone else has a cheap one from the store^^
