I need inspiration and good ideas for projects with a deadline of 1 week.
Everything will be shared on Github and on my personal blog.
I made a Github repository: github.com/rafaelfragosom/building-one-javascript…
And I will update this repo with more details.
I'm looking for a simple app for our church to track the number of people who attend each meeting. I'm planning on writing the iOS version, but if you'd like to build a web version that would be great?
Something similar exists: Church Metrics, but I'd like something a little simpler and a little more responsive - Church Metrics can be a bit sluggish.
Cross-platform Clipboard Manager (you can use electron, in fact I've a very old bare-bones project collecting dust: https://github.com/fatman-/clipman)
The idea is to have a central, secure repo of all my clipboard items, which I can access from any of the machines, that have the Clipman client installed.
Francesco recently asked a question on how to show trending GitHub repositories based on forks instead of stars. I don't know if GitHub has direct/indirect APIs to do this. But, sounds like an interesting project idea to me.
A personal chrome extension dictaphone!
I can view my list of recordings, hear the recording and also delete them when I want to.
Awesome idea. What about an app for organizing small, informal get-togethers. For example, I host regular board game nights. It would be nice to have an app that organizes the event and sends notifications to guests and me (the organizer). The organizer could suggest a list of possible dates that the guests could pick from. If it's a potluck-type event, the organizer could specify a list of food/necessities that guests could volunteer to bring. It could then send a reminder the day before to confirm. Bonus points for calendar integration (maybe ical format) and sms notifications.

Very good idea to learn technology. Good luck.
Last year Shekhar did "52 technologies in 52 weeks" and he shared all the details here: github.com/shekhargulati/52-technologies-in-2016. You may get some ideas from there.
I keep an idea-swipe file. Some ideas from there:
I go for public speaking often. I look for related short stories or quotes. If there is a db which I can organize with tags, then I can quickly search depending on the event and pick up. If it is searchable via mobile, even better (doesn't have to mobile app, just accessible from mobile)
Scan twitter for #isthereanapp or #killerfeature and help me store them into a local db with tags. Whenever I get a time, I will choose from that list to implement (it can help you too)
Given a linkedin group, list out the members and their designations
Good luck. Will be keen to follow.
