A few days ago we had an amazing discussion on non technical sources of wisdom taken forward to be applied in tech started by @200ok. 👏
Lets do a reversal; what are a few “technical” sources of wisdom that you took forward to apply in real life scenarios?
I have to be honest I just picked those behaviours up in my technical live they are actually universal.
Correlation != Causation ... i try to overcome the emotional tendency of the confirmation bias in all of us. Without facts you're just guessing in the end ...
Split bigger problems into smaller ones to conquer them.....
Everyone will always make a mistake, try fixing the problem instead of complaining....
KISS .... try to keep things simple ....
If you can't explain it in laymans terms you probably don't understand the problem at it's full extend. ...
Don't think for one second that your perspective is the only valid one ...
Learn something new as often as you can....
Take a f*cking break once in a while ....
Principles I've used outside tech...
