Some of the developers in my office have migrated from Sublime text to VSCode. What do you think Microsoft has done right this time?
Definitely yes ! Microsoft is coming back :
• Edge
• VS Code
• TypeScript
• ReactXP
VS Code is fast, free and customizable. VSC is more like a tiny-ide that sublime and require less headache.
I've just started using VSCode, moving from Sublime Text, to take advantage of its Git and Team Services integration. At first I missed certain features from Sublime, but I've managed to restore most of them now through VSCode extensions, so I'm a happy bunny again.
You should try it too.
My journey, Notepad++ > Sublime > Brackets > Atom > VSCode.
VSCode is a text editor with IDE potential.
It's very similar to Atom but lightweight. Which makes it a little bit fast.
It has an integrated terminal. Tons of shortcuts. Tons of plugins, you name it.
I love VSCode.
