At the moment I am developing myself as a Frontend Developer. Although I do write some code in the Backend (It's is fun!), I don't have the time to go deep as I wish. To answer the question, I wan't to become a full stack developer and eventualy a CTO.

When I need a break I take 4 days off and go to another country just to hang out and party. That's right, clubs and laddies :D

I would use plain HTML5 + CSS3. You can do cool stuff just with them and for a portfolio would be more then enough. If you don't want to go that way check out about.me or WordPress.com . WordPress.org if you want to host it yourself.

No one using WebPack for this? I haven't used it myself but I came across this 15 min. video where @glenmaddern shows how webpack can help you improve the loadtime of your website. He had really cool results is his example

I think that It all depends on the needs of your current project. Now, if you are curious about some technologie and/or want to learn something new I would suggest you go ahead and do so. Pick something, try it out. It won't hurt you. Have fun!

I have always used Bash and never thought about changing it. It is great!
